GTS–Green Cutter is specifically designed to liquefy heavy crude waste and maintain the treated material in a fluid state for more efficient handling. By reducing viscosity and improving flowability, the formulation can reduce the need for additional heat while facilitating pumping, transfer, and continued processing using conventional crude-handling equipment.

The formulation acts directly on the hydrocarbon material without requiring the addition of process water. As the crude waste liquefies, GTS-Green Cutter is designed to remain primarily associated with the hydrocarbon phase while helping facilitate the separation of existing water from the treated material. This can simplify waste handling by allowing the separated water and liquefied hydrocarbons to be managed through the facility's established handling and treatment processes.

GTS-Green Cutter is particularly applicable to refinery tank bottoms, crude oil sludge, and other heavy crude waste materials where limited flowability creates operational challenges. By transforming difficult-to-handle crude waste into a more manageable liquid stream, the technology may provide opportunities to evaluate the hydrocarbon content for potential recovery or reprocessing, rather than proceeding directly to disposal.

Because the formulation remains associated with the treated hydrocarbon material, its contribution to the resulting stream should be considered during material characterization and downstream processing evaluations.
